    I’d agree that for further troubleshooting we’d need to either have more comprehensive testing on Windows and your suggestion of RDP into another machine is likely what we’d do.

    I did add her account to my test PC at home and did not recognize any issues at first however since she manages many executive calendars she was hesitant to have me adding test events and moving things around.

    Have you hardwired the laptop to see if it happens? Have you tried the exact setup mirrored on a windows machine? You could setup a windows computer and have her RDP into it with the Outlook app full screen. Your connect/disconnect issue sounds like it’s dropping authentication for some reason, yet I have witnessed the calendar item issue causing the program to lock or crash due to the “repeat forever” settings. Could this actually be causing the issue? If you’re using O365 why the vpn? Also the comment about the ISP isn’t so much about speeds as it’s about ports and redirection of that type of traffic, they do weird shit sometimes with autodiscover.     I have searched this subreddit and many other forums and do see that Outlook for Mac is not well supported and prone to these types of issues.

    I would love to move her to OWA but do not see that panning out in my favor. The past 48 hours she has not had any issues with syncing however the next time it happens which I would imagine would be soon I am going to enable logging in Outlook to see if the logs can provide any more detail to the issue. I have asked our Microsoft engineers for input but they do not believe it is her account and is likely the app itself. She has also been on two different VPN solutions and it occurs on both. This has happened in the office as well as now in her home. When the issue is presenting itself the Outlook client does show that it is not connected to her account and rapidly connects/disconnects. I have reproduced the issue firsthand on her system and tried a variety of steps: updating to most recent version of Outlook, clearing cache, removing/adding account, creating new profile, re-imaging the computer, and most recently replacing for a new Touch Bar MBB (she is the assistant to the global president which is why this step was taken). She is an executive assistant and manages a dozen or more calendars. User has been having issues with her calendar intermittently not syncing for hours and hours. I am hoping to use this thread as a sounding board for an ongoing issue I have with a single user.
